
Using the book, Why I Sneeze, Shiver, Hiccup and Yawn, students look at the cover as a class and make a prediction about the book and about each specific body reaction. Then as the book is read, each student creates a list of words they hear that describe the body. Once completed the lists are compiled under each body reaction and discussed as a group. This template is appropriate for K-2. This template addresses the McREL standard 12: Understands the nature of scientific inquiry.
